Mousse Temptations: Chocolate Indulgence Review (Jello)

 Jello Chocolate Mousse

This is a review for the sugar-free Mousse Temptations by Jello in Chocolate Indulgence. It’s tough to find a pre-made mousse, so when you see this in the grocery store, it really catches your eye. It is kept with the refrigerated pudding and ready-made flan. It comes in the same type of container as the refrigerated pudding.

Jello Chocolate Mousse PackageFirst, though this mousse is sugar-free, it really doesn’t taste like it. It’s not a milk chocolate—probably being the equivalent in pudding/mousse to a semi-sweet chocolate—so you might expect it to be quite bitter without sugar. It isn’t bitter at all, though, probably due to the fact that it is still sweetened, but just with Xylitol. It does not have a funny aftertaste, either, as some products do that have a non-sugar sweetener.

Tempting Chocolate Mousse

Mousse can be anywhere from thicker to more airy, and this mousse tends to be a bit on the thicker side. It’s obviously not as thick as pudding but is probably more along the lines of what you’d find in a mousse pie or something similar.

This mousse is really good. People may not necessarily expect much from a refrigerated mousse available at the grocery store, but this is extremely chocolatey, with the same flavor as a chocolate pudding but the specific texture of a mousse. It is not more expensive than the refrigerated puddings, either. Overall, you can’t miss with this mousse!
